Sectional timers of 30 minutes each for Part I and Part II and 60 minutes for Part III. For candidates eligible for a scribe the paper runs 2 hours 40 minutes, split 40 / 40 / 80 minutes. Objective multiple choice, set in English and Hindi.

Skill Test in Stenography

One dictation of 10 minutes in English or Hindi as chosen in the application, at 100 words per minute for Stenographer Grade C and 80 words per minute for Grade D, transcribed on computer within a prescribed time.
