Exam pattern
Tier-I (Computer Based Examination)
Four subjects of 25 questions and 50 marks each, with a sectional timer of 15 minutes per subject (1 hour 20 minutes, 20 minutes per subject, for candidates eligible for a scribe). Objective multiple choice, set in English and Hindi except English Comprehension.
Tier-II Paper-I
Session-I is 2 hours 15 minutes: Section-I (Mathematical Abilities 30 + Reasoning and General Intelligence 30 = 60 questions, x3 = 180 marks, 1 hour); Section-II (English Language and Comprehension 45 + General Awareness 25 = 70 questions, x3 = 210 marks, 1 hour); Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test, 20 questions, x3 = 60 marks, 15 minutes). Session-II is 15 minutes: Section-IV, one Data Entry Speed Test task.
Tier-II Paper-II · Statistics
Taken only by candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer. 2 hours 40 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe.
Tier-II Paper-III · General Studies (Finance and Economics)
Taken only by candidates applying for Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer. 2 hours 40 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe.
