Composite time of one hour across the three tests. A candidate must qualify in the Preliminary examination to appear in the Main examination.

Five separately timed tests. All Main tests except the Test of English Language are available bilingually in English and Hindi. Candidates must pass in each objective test.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Taken by provisionally selected candidates, in the official or local language of the state concerned. A candidate not proficient in that language is disqualified.
