Child Development and Pedagogy and both language papers are compulsory; the 60-mark subject block is either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science depending on the post. A candidate intending to teach both stages appears in Paper I and Paper II.

Qualifying standard

60% or more is a pass. School managements may give concessions to SC, ST, OBC and differently abled candidates under their own reservation policy, and are to give weightage to CTET scores in recruitment — but qualifying does not by itself confer a right to appointment.
